As digital transformation reshapes enterprise landscapes, traditional IT governance models struggle to support the flexibility and speed demanded by agile organizations. This paper examines the evolution of IT governance frameworks from rigid, control-heavy systems to adaptive, collaborative approaches aligned with agile principles. Drawing from literature, the study explores emerging governance strategies, including decentralized decision-making, cross-functional alignment, and iterative value delivery. By synthesizing historical perspectives with modern agile needs, the paper identifies best practices and future research directions for harmonizing governance and agility in the digital era.
